Educational Day in Arts and Crafts at the Children’s and Youth Art Gallery “Sonnensegel”

On October 14, our volunteers spent a creative educational day at the Children’s and Youth Art Gallery “Sonnensegel” in Brandenburg an der Havel. Located in one of the city’s oldest school buildings, the gallery introduced them to its work and invited them to explore the world of printmaking.
During a hands-on workshop, the volunteers created their own woodcuts and combined them with typographic design elements. They also had the opportunity to try out traditional printing techniques using an original Gutenberg-style printing press.
With plenty of creativity and craftsmanship, they designed their own prints and cards while discovering and experimenting with new artistic techniques.
A big thank you to Galerie Sonnensegel for this inspiring day and for offering us such fascinating insights into the world of art and printmaking!
