Association
The lkj Brandenburg is the umbrella and specialist association for cultural education for children and youth in Brandenburg. Currently, 19 statewide specialist associations from the fields of theater, music, art, and media, as well as cultural institutions, are members of lkj Brandenburg. As a recognized statewide provider of independent youth welfare services, it is the organization for the voluntary services "Culture and Education" within the Voluntary Social Year (FSJ) and the Federal Volunteer Service (BFD) for young people and individuals of all ages.
lkj Brandenburg is affiliated with the BKJ – Federal Association for Cultural Education for Children and Youth.
Our objectives
Our goal is to support stakeholders in cultural education and to foster exchange with partners from formal education and youth work. We promote collaboration at all levels. This is achieved by initiating new projects as well as by supporting the commitment of volunteers in cultural and educational institutions.
We advocate for cultural education as a creative and empowering practice — one that encourages strengths-based, inclusive, and mistake-friendly learning environments that inspire curiosity, imagination, and creative expression.
