WHAT WE DO
Our Mission
With a broad membership structure of around 20 organizations, associations, and institutions, we advocate for the interests of young people, professionals, and stakeholders in the field of cultural education. As an association, we play a central role in advocating for the interests of cultural education in Brandenburg by representing the concerns of cultural education at the political level and ensuring that cultural education programs are recognized and promoted in public discourse.
With our members from the fields of culture, education, and youth, we continuously work to further strengthen cultural education in Brandenburg and establish it as an important component of the holistic education of young people. The association's work not only contributes to promoting creativity and cultural diversity, but also to strengthening social cohesion and the active participation of young people.
Through our own initiatives and in collaboration with partners, we implement projects that promote the cultural participation of children and young people and unleash their creative potential in various fields. This involves not only teaching artistic techniques but also understanding cultural education as a creative and emancipatory exercise that empowers young people to find their own voice and actively contribute to society.
Another focus of ours is volunteer services Culture and Education, the Voluntary Social Year (FSJ) and the Federal Voluntary Service (BFD). These programs offer young people and people of all ages the opportunity to engage in social and cultural activities, take on responsibility, and gain valuable experience. We support the volunteers and ensure that the volunteer service is an enriching experience for both the volunteers and the organizations.
Our members can apply for funding for activities under the guidelines for funding youth education and youth exchanges of the Brandenburg Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport. Funding is available at a fixed amount of up to €22.00 per day per participant, for a maximum of 10 days. The prerequisite is that the program must comprise at least six hours per day.
