Senckenberg Deutsches Entomologisches Institüt
The Senckenberg German Entomological Institute (SDEI) in Müncheberg is a top international hub for insect research, with over 130 years of history. Founded in 1886, it joined the renowned Senckenberg Society for Nature Research in 2009. The SDEI is an open platform for research, learning, and advice. Scientists from around the world use its collections and databases, and students can dive into exciting projects and theses on taxonomy, genetics, GIS analyses, and much more.
URANIA- Planetarium
The URANIA Planetarium Potsdam is a charming small planetarium with 46 seats, located since 2007 in the historic Dutch Quarter. In its modern 8-meter-diameter dome, visitors can embark on fascinating journeys through our galaxy – from live presentations to 360° films and space exploration adventures. Each year, well over 25,000 guests visit the planetarium – in 2024, Potsdam even set a new record with more than 27,000 visitors.
