The Akademie für Rechtskultur und Rechtspädagogik e.V. based in Bad Saarow is an independent educational and meeting center dedicated to promoting legal culture, democratic values, and civic cooperation. It sees itself as a “school of democracy, peace, and the future” and offers a diverse program of lectures, training courses, summer schools, workshops, and public events — all with the aim of making legal education tangible and practice-oriented.

The Perleberg Old Town Association is committed to high-quality, sustainable construction and the preservation of monuments in towns and villages. It is committed to a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to the protection and creation of buildings that are considered transcendent values of a democratic community.

AWO District Association Frankfurt Oder

Frankfurt Oder

The Workers' Welfare Association (AWO), founded in 1919, continues to advocate for a just and solidarity-based society and is an independent membership organization. Its work is oriented toward people's needs and political goals, with a strong focus on the fundamental values of human dignity. At its Frankfurt Oder location, the AWO operates an integrated daycare center, a children's and youth center, and offers young people the opportunity to participate in youth consecration.

The Brücke Nuthetal is a non-profit organization that encourages children and young people to realize their own projects and supports them in doing so. It offers art classes, circus projects, dance clubs, holiday camps, international youth exchanges, and numerous other creative and educational activities. The organization is based in the community's multi-generational center and is aimed at children, young people, and young adults up to the age of 27.

Democracy and Dialogue

Berlin

The Democracy & Dialogue association advocates for a democratic society and empowers young people to actively engage in democracy. It creates spaces for participation, encourages participation, and promotes experiences of self-efficacy. In doing so, the association imparts important tools and creates opportunities for interaction with people from diverse backgrounds.

Stahnsdorf

The Evangelical Youth and Welfare Organization (EJF) is a nationwide, Christian-based social enterprise that provides support to people of all ages and faiths. It operates a variety of outpatient and inpatient services for people with disabilities, children, young people, families, the homeless, refugees, and seniors. Since 2019, the ClaB youth and family center in Stahnsdorf has given young people the opportunity to implement their own ideas and develop their skills in digital media and technology according to the motto "How to make (almost) everything."

Lindenpark in Potsdam-Babelsberg is one of Brandenburg's largest socio-cultural centers and has shaped the regional cultural scene since the 1960s. With a diverse program including concerts, festivals, theater, comedy, and readings, Lindenpark offers events in a hall and on an open-air stage. In addition, there are numerous recreational opportunities, such as a skate park, playgrounds, graffiti walls, and a forest café, which are particularly attractive for children, young people, and families.

The Kirchsteigfeld Cultural Association brings cultural education to Brandenburg, provides everyone with access to artistic expression, and promotes talent, especially among children and young people. Through creative projects, they develop skills, discover new strengths, and learn tolerance through interaction with different cultures.

Brandenburg State Association of Independent Performing Arts

Potsdam

For 25 years, the Brandenburg State Association of Independent Performing Arts has represented professional independent venues and groups in the state, promoting their visibility and cultural policy interests. With 40 members, 18 of which have their own venues, the association showcases the diversity and mobility of the performing arts in all areas, from drama to performance. Its goal is to improve working conditions and continuously expand its presence in urban and rural areas.

Brandenburg State Association for Media Education

Potsdam

The LMB professional association strengthens the media literacy of professionals in Brandenburg who work with children and young people, focusing on training, consulting, networking, and innovative projects in dialogue with practitioners, researchers, policymakers, and administrators. Through cultural media education, it creates creative programs that promote participation, particularly in rural areas, and provide competent support for young people in their media-driven everyday lives.

Brandenburg State Music Council

Potsdam

The Brandenburg State Music Council is the umbrella organization for professional and amateur music in the state and represents around 60 member associations, institutions, and individuals. As the sponsor of several state youth ensembles and organizer of numerous educational projects, it is intensively committed to musical and cultural education. The association sees this as the key to identity formation, tolerance, and a society's future – and advocates for greater participation, digital offerings, a firm anchoring in everyday education, and sustainable support.

State Association of Daycare and School Support Associations Berlin-Brandenburg

Potsdam

The Berlin-Brandenburg State Association of Daycare and School Support Associations (lsfb) represents the interests of daycare and school support associations in the region and strengthens civic engagement in the field of education. With 874 member associations, 262 of which are in Brandenburg, the lsfb supports daycare centers and schools ideologically, practically, and financially and advocates for educational equity. The association places particular emphasis on reducing bureaucracy and encouraging the participation of children and young people in education-related topics.

Rheinsberg Music Academy

Rheinsberg

The Rheinsberg Music Academy is a place for work, education, and networking for musicians from Brandenburg and beyond, specializing in musical theater, contemporary, and early music. It offers a wide range of continuing education and training programs, master classes, and scholarships, as well as projects in children's and youth education. Through its networking with (music) cultural institutions and its role as a think tank, the academy promotes the exchange between music and cultural education and academia.

The Open Art Association promotes art and culture for everyone, with a focus on working with children and young people outside of school. Its offerings are complemented by projects – often international – and courses for schools and adults.

Quillo Northwest Uckermark

Falkenhagen

In the village of Falkenhagen, the association has transformed a four-sided courtyard into the Quillo Cultural Center – complete with a concert hall, cinema, and office. There, artistic productions and cultural education projects are created, serving as a "cultural anchor point in rural Brandenburg."

SPI Foundation in the State of Brandenburg

Frankfurt Oder

The SPI Foundation, the "Walter May" Social Pedagogical Institute Berlin, promotes a society in which every person can develop and take responsibility for themselves and the community. In Brandenburg, the branch develops and implements social work models that create opportunities through collaboration with children, young people, and families. It offers youth leisure and cultural activities as well as needs-based support, accompanied by scientific evaluation and the coordination of state-wide projects.

Association of Music and Art Schools Brandenburg

Potsdam

The Association of Music and Art Schools Brandenburg (VdMK) is the sponsoring and professional association of 36 music and art schools in the state and promotes artistic and aesthetic education. It supports its member schools through consulting, continuing education, and joint projects, emphasizing the importance of music and art for personal and social development. In a state without its own music or art college, music and art schools also play a key role in vocational training.

The wortbau association has been supporting children and young people in Brandenburg to write since 1996 through workshops, readings, and the "THEO" writing competition. It understands literary writing as a political practice that questions social norms and offers young people a creative safe space in uncertain times. The close connection to the region and its natural surroundings shapes its work, as does the exchange among young authors.

The Montelino tent center is an open space that enables children and young people, regardless of background or ability, to develop creatively and share experiences together. The enthusiasm of the young people motivates the team every day.
