Friends of the Brandenburg State Police Orchestra
The Brandenburg State Police Orchestra is the professional wind orchestra of the police and a cultural ambassador for the state. Throughout Brandenburg, the orchestra performs at concerts, commemorative events, school appearances, and charity concerts. Since 2000, it has been one of Germany’s leading chamber orchestras. The Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt (Oder) is a traditional symphony orchestra with a history spanning more than 175 years. Founded in 1842 as a municipal orchestra, it developed over time into an important musical institution in Brandenburg and beyond. Its musical home is the Kleist Forum in Frankfurt (Oder), from where the orchestra presents a diverse and varied program. The State Orchestra places particular emphasis on music education: through school projects, family concerts, and interactive formats, it inspires people of all ages and brings classical music into the heart of society.
