Kreismusikschule Potsdam-Mittelmark
The District School of Music Potsdam-Mittelmark offers a diverse musical education for children, young people, and adults. With qualified instructors, a wide range of subjects, and numerous ensembles, it provides space for creative development and shared music-making. Whether a beginner or an advanced student, the music school offers individual support, strengthens musical skills, and enriches the cultural life of the region.
Kunst- und Musikschule Havelland
The Art and Music School Havelland offers a diverse program of music instruction and artistic courses for all age groups. With a broad range of instruments, vocal training, painting, and other creative forms of expression, the school nurtures talent and supports creative development throughout the Havelland region. Experienced instructors provide individual guidance and create space for collaborative learning and artistic growth.
Wredowsche Zeichenschule
The Wredow Art School offers children and young people aged 6 to over 20 a diverse and systematic artistic education alongside their regular school studies. The goal is to preserve original artistic talents and to foster them sustainably in the spirit of a livable and humane society. The range of courses is also aimed at adults of all ages who wish to deepen and further develop their creative and artistic skills. At the foundation of all artistic creation lies the interplay of point, line, surface, structure, form, color, light, and material. These elements form the basis and connection of all courses. At the center of the training is the practice of conscious seeing and the acquisition of fundamental artistic skills in drawing, color, and form.
Freie Naturschule Wildau
The Free Nature School of the Mecklenburg Lake District combines individual learning with experiences in nature. Children and young people are supported in a holistic way – through open teaching that places creativity, self-determination, and sustainable thinking at its core. The natural environment serves as a learning space to foster curiosity and a sense of responsibility for the environment and society.
VDMK Verband der Musik- und Kunstschulen Brandenburg
The Association of Music and Art Schools of Brandenburg (VdMK) is the governing and professional body for 36 public music and art schools in the state of Brandenburg. It ensures the quality of arts and cultural education and promotes young artistic talent through a wide range of projects and events. These include teacher training programs, primary school initiatives such as “Klasse:Musik” and “Klasse:Kunst,” the Sound City Festival, and the state competition “Jugend musiziert.” The VdMK also supports state youth ensembles and develops concepts on cultural and educational policy issues – always with the goal of strengthening exchange and collaboration within the field.

Cottbus
The Cottbus Conservatory is one of the leading institutions for musical education in Brandenburg, providing instruction in instrumental studies and vocal training to around 1,200 students. It offers a wide range of ensembles, from the Knirps Choir for children from age three to the Youth Symphony Orchestra and a Big Band for rock, pop, and jazz. The Cottbus Children’s Musical is also based at the conservatory. In addition to basic musical education, the conservatory places great emphasis on talent development and preparation for further studies, including inclusive programs. Projects such as "Klasse Musik" and "Klingende Kita" are also part of its offerings. Each year, numerous class recitals, concerts, and large-scale events are organized. Collaboration with the Association of Music Schools (VdMK) and participation in the "Jugend musiziert" competition are central to its work. Over the years, the conservatory has been distinguished by a collegial atmosphere and strong teamwork.
